Fishing Quarter Workshop
The workshop at the Fishing Quarter is run by volunteers and is responsible for the general upkeep of the Quarter and the many restoration projects that are undertaken here in the Fishing Quarter area.
The workshop is spread over two arches and consists of a metal workshop and a wood workshop. The metal workshop conserves, repairs and rebuilds vintage marine engines.
Next door, the wood workshop repairs and restores traditional old Sussex boats. The many boats around the Quarter have all been lovingly restored by the Fishing Quarter Workshop. The workshop is also responsible for the construction of display cases and stands for the Fishing Museum.
The workshop is also instrumental in the building and maintenance of the shops on the beach opposite the arches. The last shop to be built was Sea Haze in 2006.
